Lake Chabot Fees and rules

  • Parking Fee (Daily/Year Round): $5/vehicle

  • Bus Load Entry/Parking Fee: $25/per bus

  • Boat Inspection: $4/cartop

  • Boat Launch (Canoe/Kayak): $3

  • Dog Fee: $2/each (guide dog/service animal enter FREE)

  • Daily Fishing Access Permit (REQUIRED): $5/day

    -Canoes, kayaks, float tubes with full chest waders, and scull craft 20 feet and under may be carried in and launched for a $3 fee. SUP are not permitted on the lake. All inflatable kayaks must be at least 3 separate inflatable chambers.

    -All vessels entering Lake Chabot must be inspected for Quagga & Zebra Mussels, and a $4 inspection fee will be charged. California State Fishing Licenses

California State Fishing License: $17.54 daily (available for purchase at the marina).

Anglers aged 16 and older are required to possess a valid California fishing license and fishing access permit.

Note: Once approved by The Department of Fish & Game, Reduced Fee Sport Fishing License may be used by low-income residents who are 65 years of age or older; or any honorably discharged disabled veterans with a service-connected disability rating of 50% or greater. Free Sport Fishing License may be used by low-income Native Americans; or any person who is legally blind, developmentally disabled or permanently dependent upon a mobility-aiding device.
